Blackwood is a regional architecture practice located in Tewantin on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. We specialise in three sectors – ‘Live, Work, Play’ – those being Residential, Commercial and Public projects.

At Blackwood, we prioritise good design to create dynamic and memorable spaces to shape and enrich communities and elevate our urban landscape. We bring creativity, precision, and experience to every project.

Blackwood Architecture was founded in 2020 by Architect Phil Tillotson who has lived and practiced on the Sunshine Coast for over 20 years. We are a design focused practice avoiding the confines of a single field or uniform style. Instead, we collaborate closely with our clients to navigate each site’s unique constraints and opportunities, delivering carefully crafted architecture.
